A graduate of the University of Victoria with a degree in Political Science, Joshua has experience in community leadership and public facing work. At Camosun College, he served as a Finance Executive in student government and as a member of the Education Council.

For more than a decade, Joshua has also worked in Vancouver’s hospitality industry. That experience has shaped his approach to public service: listen carefully, treat people with respect, solve problems, and never forget who you are there to serve.

Joshua believes Vancouver’s schools should reflect the best of the city he grew up in: welcoming, ambitious, diverse, and full of opportunity. He wants the school board focused on strong classrooms, responsible use of public dollars, safe and welcoming schools, and meaningful consultation with parents, educators, students, and communities.

He is running because he wants to give back to the city that raised him and help ensure the next generation of Vancouver students has every opportunity to thrive.
