Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
I am a long time Nanaimo resident, serving our community in a variety of leadership roles but now turning my passion back to Public Education and our children who are future.

I previously served as a School Trustee for Nanaimo-Ladysmith SD 68 from 1996 - 1999, President of Tourism Nanaimo in 2009, and on City Council from 2018-2022. I am a community advocate with broad experience and knowledge in governance, with a deep commitment to public education.

I believe good leadership starts with listening, bringing people together, and making thoughtful, evidence based decisions. This means a strong belief in inclusive, accessible education, and why I choose to seek a seat on the School Board once again.
