Melanie Adams is proud to stand with the Newfoundland and Labrador NDP, bringing a strong commitment to fairness, inclusion, and community.

Born and raised in the Terra Nova district, with deep family roots in the region, Melanie knows the strength and resilience of rural Newfoundland and Labrador because she has lived it. She believes our communities deserve leaders who put people first.

Much of Melanie’s life has been dedicated to working with children and volunteering with community groups that support persons with disabilities. These experiences shaped her belief that everyone deserves to feel valued and included—no matter their circumstances. She knows from experience that care and compassion can make a real difference, and she carries that same approach into her political work: listening first, acting with empathy, and standing up for those too often left behind.

Alongside her community involvement, Melanie has built a diverse career in creative industries and technology, giving her the adaptability and problem-solving skills she believes our province needs. Whether in classrooms, community centres, or advocacy groups, she has always worked to create spaces where people can thrive.

Melanie is running with the NL NDP because she believes in public healthcare, affordable housing, good jobs, and meaningful action on accessibility and equity. For her, politics is about people—building a Newfoundland and Labrador where every person has the chance to live with dignity and opportunity.
