Sarah Hillier is a small business owner, Green Bay Ground Search and Rescue volunteer, and mental health advocate residing in Springdale. With a background wearing many different hats, from Entry Level Retail, to Employee Relations, to Client Coordination in Homecare and even dabbling in the Music Arts Industry, she has proven a strong ability to adapt and learn in all situations. 

Her unique and diverse professional background, as well as lived experience with mental health, has provided her with the opportunities to learn how to understand and connect with folks from all walks of life. 

Sarah grew up Springdale until she left the town in after graduating in 2010. Moving around the province, from the West Coast to the East Coast of Newfoundland, as well as a year spent in Labrador, she found herself longing for home, and finally returned in 2023. 

With a passion for fostering a sense of community, Sarah understands that compassion and curiosity are two important pieces to finding connection, common ground, and a way forward that works for everyone. 

Growing up in rural Newfoundland, she understands the importance of entry level jobs with a livable wage, assistance to help small local businesses grow and thrive, better access to healthcare, tourism opportunities and ways to allow young people and young families remain in their beloved communities by growing the local economy.
