Dr. Paul Doerr is your NDP candidate for Kings-Hants.

Paul was born in Bruce County Ontario and earned his PhD at the University of Waterloo. He has taught history at Acadia University since 1996.

As a scholar of 1930s Europe, Paul is very aware of the dangers of political extremism and the threat of powerful bullies. He will stand up to Trump’s threats and fight for working people to come first in the trade war.

As an educator, he believes Nova Scotia needs smaller class sizes and better collective bargaining with teachers. He believes any government must tackle child poverty in Canada and end systemic racism.

As your MP, he will hold billionaires and corporations to account. He will tackle the housing shortage and fight the rising rents and evictions in Nova Scotia.

He lives in Wolfville with a black cat named after Jack Layton.
