Originally from Tunisia, Dalila Elhak has a rich and diverse background, combining journalism, entrepreneurship, and community engagement.
A journalism graduate (1996), she worked as a journalist in print media, news agencies, and television from 1993 to 1999. She also held a position as Information Officer at the Institute for Occupational Health and Safety.
In 1999, she transitioned into entrepreneurship, becoming the co-owner and director of the international trade company ELHAK EXPO. Passionate about business and economic development, she pursued political science studies (2005-2009) and began investing in real estate in Montreal and Quebec in 2008.
Always seeking new challenges, she became the owner of a daycare in 2012 and later obtained her real estate brokerage certification (2014-2016), allowing her to work as a real estate broker.
Her social and political commitment led her to run as a Green Party candidate in Beauport-Limoilou during the 2015 and 2019 federal elections. She also served on the Maizerets neighborhood council (2015-2016) and launched Croque ton quartier Maizerets, a community harvest-sharing initiative, in 2021.
A dynamic entrepreneur, she has also been the owner of Mechoui & Cie Café-Restaurant since 2016 and shares her insights as a columnist on CKIA.
