My vision is a Maple Ridge where people feel safe, local businesses can thrive, and growth comes with the services and amenities our neighbourhoods need. Where every corner of our community feels heard.
That vision comes from 48 years of living here, raising my family, running businesses and working alongside people who care about Maple Ridge. I know how rising costs, vandalism and decisions made at City Hall can affect a family’s future.
One councillor has one voice and one vote. I can promise to come prepared, listen carefully, ask questions and work respectfully with my colleagues. Before I raise my hand, I want to understand who a decision helps, what it costs and what it means for the people who will live with it.
Safer neighbourhoods
I will advocate for better lighting, safer crossings and a visible police presence, informed by the people who live and work in each neighbourhood. We need to follow up and ask whether those improvements are making a difference.
A stronger local economy
I understand small business from the kitchen table. A delayed permit can mean another month of rent without revenue. I will push for clearer processes, better communication and land-use decisions that support welcoming storefronts and local jobs.
Growth that works together
More homes bring neighbours who need roads, parks, recreation and services. I will ask how those needs will be met, what developers can contribute and how decisions will affect traffic, the environment and existing neighbourhoods.
Care with public money
I will ask what projects cost to build, operate and maintain, and what trade-offs we are making. Residents deserve clear explanations and honest updates.
Delivering means staying connected after the election, explaining my decisions and following up on concerns. I have never needed a title to get to work. I will bring that same approach to council: listen, do the homework and keep showing up.
