Milan Kljajic 夏•米男 is an independent Richmond Council candidate with experience in seniors and affordable housing, LEMR, nonprofit leadership and community operations. He currently oversees housing and services for more than 450 Richmond residents.

Milan Kljajic 夏•米男 is an independent candidate for Richmond City Council with no affiliation to any political slate or elector organization.

Milan works in seniors and affordable housing management in Richmond, where he oversees housing, building operations and services supporting more than 450 residents. His work includes extensive involvement with low-end market rental (LEMR) housing, affordability and eligibility requirements, accessibility, building maintenance, capital planning, emergency preparedness and community programming.

Working directly with seniors and lower-income residents has given Milan practical experience with many of the issues that come before municipal government. He has seen first-hand how housing costs, property operations, transportation, accessibility, extreme weather, community services and rising everyday expenses affect residents.

Milan also previously served as president of a Vancouver non-profit organization, where he gained experience working with public agencies and the Vancouver Park Board, including involvement during the implementation of the ActiveNet recreation and facility-booking system.

Outside of formal politics, Milan’s professional background has centred on managing organizations, solving day-to-day problems, working with residents and contractors, and balancing service needs with responsible use of limited resources.

In 2026, he is running for Richmond Council as an independent, bringing that practical municipal and community experience to the race.
