I understand firsthand the many strengths of our school district and the challenges it faces. I am active in our community, serving on the Parents Advisory Council at my daughter's school, École Cedardale, as well as the boards of the West Vancouver Historical Society and West Vancouver Community Arts Council. I served the District of West Vancouver for 7 years as a Transportation Planner, championing accessible and safe walking routes to school. In addition to delivering pedestrian and cycling projects, I led the development of the Pedestrian Network Study, which highlights streets needing pedestrian safety improvements, with schools being the highest priority.

As a professional planner, I bring people together to find solutions to challenging issues. Serving on provincial and local non-profit boards has given me a strong background in governance, accountability and collaborative decision-making. As a West Vancouver School Trustee, I will actively listen to our community and integrate your feedback into evidence-based decisions that reflect the priorities of students, parents, and residents.

I want our schools to be safe, supportive, and innovative places, preparing students for a rapidly changing world. I also support investing in school infrastructure in order to accelerate learning and provide students the environment they need to succeed.
