Clean tech means good business, good jobs, and a good investment.
According to the Government of Canada’s most recent statistics, there are 314,000 Environmental and Clean Tech jobs in Canada, accounting for only 1.6% of all jobs but 2.9% of GDP.
We can and must do better, not only protecting the environment but driving clean jobs and technology and exporting these products and services outside of Canada. We can generate high income jobs for Canadians while creating sustainable long-term growth. The entire world is trending towards clean tech, while Canada is being left behind. We don’t need to be building pipelines for a nineteenth century economy.
