A natural-born leader, Michael has embraced leadership roles since childhood, beginning in the Boy Scouts and serving as captain of multiple sports teams. Though he initially aspired to be a teacher, he pursued a career as a Software Developer, taking on key leadership roles such as Tech Lead with IBM and Application Architect with TD and Manulife. Over the years, he has mentored young programmers and co-op students, finding fulfillment in teaching, learning, and connecting with others.
For over 22 years, Michael has been actively involved in his community as a head coach for youth hockey and soccer, fulfilling his passion for teaching and giving back to the next generation. He firmly believes in letting kids be kids, instilling in his own children—and those he has coached—the values of heart, honour, and mental resilience.
Beyond his love for coaching, Michael is a passionate pianist and guitarist. Deeply committed to family and the preservation of traditional values, he is an advocate for protecting childhood innocence, defending women’s rights, and upholding Christian principles in society.
Michael’s leadership, mentorship, and dedication to his community reflect his commitment to preserving the values that have shaped Canada. He continues to stand for faith, integrity, and the empowerment of individuals to reach their full potential.
