Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
Sarah is a peace activist and anti-imperialist organizer, a union member, and a proud citizen of the Red River Métis Nation. Her belief in collective liberation, the advancement of international solidarity, workers' rights, and Indigenous sovereignty are central to her work.

As a community social worker in Winnipeg’s North End and Downtown, Sarah sees firsthand the deep injustices caused by capitalism: poverty, systemic neglect, and inequality. She is committed to the struggle for a society in which everyone has what they need to thrive, free from exploitation, and want.

Reason for running

submitted by the candidate or their team
Sarah holds firm to the belief that a better world is not only possible but necessary: one free from war, greed, and inequality, where every person can live with security and dignity.

For years, Sarah has been involved in Palestinian solidarity movements, standing firmly against occupation and oppression. She advocates for Cuba, calling for an end to the unjust U.S. blockade. Locally, she has helped organize events and demonstrations urging Canada to withdraw from NATO and reinvest military spending into social needs. To her—global justice is inseparable from the local struggle—the fights for dignity, peace, and equity are all connected.
