They may still in the future!
Biography
Pat Boyd is following in his great-grandfather’s footsteps, making Nova Scotia his home once again. His Scottish ancestors first settled in the province, with each subsequent generation moving westward to Saskatchewan, Alberta, and finally British Columbia. Born and raised in Vancouver, Pat embarked on a career that took him across Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East, yet he always felt a deep connection to Canada—the hopeful and prosperous country he remembered from the early 2000s.
That calling intensified during the COVID era, prompting him to leave Southeast Asia after 15 years abroad and return home. After reconnecting with family, he drove across Canada—from Vancouver to the South Shore of Nova Scotia—where he quickly fell in love with St. Margarets community. However, as he settled into Maritime life, he noticed an increasing shift in everyday life, particularly in the past two years. Pat is running for office because he loves the Maritimes and wants to fix these issues, advocating for honest conversations about real problems and straightforward solutions.
A seasoned international executive, Pat has led global projects in banking, engineering, and manufacturing, working in Singapore, China, and Poland. He now runs a consulting firm and serves as a volunteer firefighter and medical first responder.
Pat holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Chicago and a Master of Science in Communications from the London School of Economics. He completed his undergraduate studies at Simon Fraser University.
