Port Moody has been my home for more than 20 years. It’s where I’ve built my business, raised my family and spent many years volunteering and contributing to the community I care so deeply about.

I’m an urban planner, small business owner and mum of two young children, including one currently attending an SD43 school and another who will be there before long. That gives me a very real connection to the experiences of parents in our District today. The decisions being made around the Board table aren’t abstract to me. They affect our children, their teachers, their classrooms and the future we are preparing them for.

Professionally, I’ve spent my career working through complex issues, bringing people with different perspectives together and helping communities plan for long-term change. I work regularly with municipalities and other levels of government, navigating legislation, budgets, growth and competing priorities. I understand how to ask difficult questions, work collaboratively and advocate effectively when our community needs something.

Outside of work, community service has always been an important part of my life. I’ve volunteered with local organizations and committees and have had the privilege of working alongside people of all ages and backgrounds across the Tri-Cities. Those experiences have reinforced something I strongly believe: the best decisions are made when we listen to the people who are actually affected by them.

That is the perspective I want to bring to the SD43 Board: a parent’s heart, a planner’s long-term lens and a business owner’s accountability, grounded in more than two decades of calling this community home.
