Marty Simms is an IT consultant who is running to be the MP for Ottawa–Vanier–Gloucester because he has a clear vision of the changes needed to make Canada better. As the son of a WW2 veteran, Marty is proud of his Canadian heritage and has deep roots in Ottawa – he is driven by personal experiences and a sense of civic responsibility. Marty believes that Canadians are rich in spirit and that a nation is judged on how well it treats all citizens. His emphasis on freedom of speech, bodily autonomy, human rights, and advocacy for the disabled – alongside his participation in peaceful demonstrations – paint him as a principled advocate for individual liberties. As an elected member of Parliament, Marty will push to:

• Stop funding of foreign wars and use these funds to meet needs of Canadians;

• Promote traditional Canadian values;

• Protect the security, rights and freedoms of all Canadians; and

• Reinvigorate small businesses in Ottawa.

STOP FUNDING FOREIGN WARS

Marty’s alignment with the People’s Party of Canada (PPC) reflects his rejection of mainstream parties like the Liberals and Conservatives. His policy prioritizes objecting to the $143 billion already spent on Ukraine and redirect more funding foreign wars to domestic needs like building communities with affordable housing, disability programming, border security, and tackling the fentanyl crisis.

Two generations of Ukrainians were wiped off the face of this planet including women and the disabled conscripted to fight a futile war that has no intrinsic value for Canadians. Over one million Ukrainians died for no good reason and both the Liberals and Conservatives want to do more to support this.

NEW LEGAL IMMIGRANTS

Marty supports funding of programs to help teach new immigrants about our military history and the sacrifices our war veterans made in making Canada a free and peaceful country. Marty is the son of a WW2 veteran who served 9 missions in the Air Force. As a result of watching his buddies die, Marty’s Dad had to take medication to cope with the horror he witnessed. This helped shaped Marty’s views on how fortunate we are to live in Canada. Marty believes that the government should deport immigrants who do not share our Canadian values and instigate violent behaviour on Canadian soil. Capping immigration and deporting illegal immigrants and criminals is important to stabilize the Canadian economy as well as help ensure security of Canadians.

LAW AND ORDER

Marty supports hiring more police officers to fight real crime (not arrest peaceful demonstrators) and reforming a judicial system that is currently soft on crime with a revolving door process of allowing bail for dangerous re-offenders to go back on the street to possibly commit more crimes. Women and children should not risk harm by taking a walk in the park and being attacked by someone with nefarious intentions. He supports charging environmental activists caught setting fires with arson and manslaughter to a minimum 10 year prison sentence because of the many firefighters who have lost their lives and the many Canadians who have lost their livelihoods.

EDUCATION

One area of particular interest to Marty is education. Although Marty acknowledges that education is a provincial responsibility, he would advocate that every child living in Canada regardless of disability should be afforded a decent education with the correct supports to make their individual program a success. Marty has been personally affected by the weaknesses in the education system.

He is the legal guardian of his 31 year old son, diagnosed with severe autism, who was expelled from the only Ottawa area autism unit program for known autistic tendencies. Although he won his appeal to the special education tribunal, the school board ignored the panel’s recommendations and left his son without an education. Marty would push to redirect funds for foreign wars to helping the education of Canadians with or without disabilities.

RE-INVIGORATING OTTAWA

Marty would support the Ottawa mayor and the city council’s efforts to re-invigorate Ottawa - including reinstating the many festivals which help many small businesses.

INDIVIDUAL RIGHTS

Marty:

• supports the right to choose what one puts in his or her body (e.g., informed consent without coercion is required before administration of Covid-19 vaccines);

• believes in the right to life from conception;

• supports prayer and common-sense values in schools (no shared washrooms);

• supports mandatory parental consent before any child under the age of majority can be able to make life altering decisions that involve cutting off body parts or taking puberty blockers causing sterilization (basically ruining a child’s life); and

• DOES NOT support digital ID as this will be the beginning of government control over each citizen’s carbon footprint made to enslave Canadians.

ELIMINATING POLICIES THAT DIVIDE US

Marty believes that we must stop promoting ideologies and concepts that are not based on science but serve mainly to create opposing groups of people. For example, we need to extinguish DEI and stop making everything about race if we actually want to eliminate racism from our culture. We need to stop dividing society on two sides of an ever-changing line between oppressor and oppressed. We need to reward meritocracy in hiring policies, school grades, equality, and not equity. Marty also believes that there are only 2 genders: male and female.

SUPPORT TO FARMERS

Marty supports farmers growing organic food and would push to subsidize farmers while cutting their taxes.

SEEKING ACCOUNTABILITY

Marty supports reversing every damaging policy proposed by Justin Trudeau and suing the former Prime Minister and the Liberal Party in order to pay down the 10-year accumulated $1.26 Trillion debt. (A portion of that debt and accumulated interest is likely attributed to unethical Liberal practices that have sunk Canada in huge debt that will take many Canadian generations to pay down). We need to scrap all Liberal taxes.
