Like many young Canadians, Michael has felt the devastating and ever-worsening effects of climate change and the cost-of-living crisis. Now, more than ever, Michael believes it’s time to fight for the change and action that Canadians deserve.

Having grown up in a lower-middle-class family, Michael is a passionate advocate for policies that benefit people, not ultra-wealthy CEOs. That’s why he understands that tax dollars must be put to good use – helping the lower and middle classes thrive and ensuring their access to essential programs like health care, dental care, and pharmacare.

Here in Tobique—Mactaquac, some smaller communities have to travel over an hour to reach the nearest hospital. And when they get there, they’re greeted with unacceptable wait times.

To Michael, a Canada that looks out for its people means a Canada that ensures everyone can access the care they need, when they need it – without paying a penny. It means putting people before the profits of corporations, addressing the climate crisis with the urgency it deserves, and it means fighting back against the threat of Conservative cuts to the programs and supports we rely on.

If elected to fight for the people of Tobique—Mactaquac, that is exactly what Michael plans to do. Michael Winter will uphold the rights and protect the freedoms of our children and grandchildren, and will create a future where everyone can thrive.
