Biography

from their website

Emma is a hard-working, third-generation farmer and small business owner. She and her husband Connor, a Peterborough paramedic, live and operate their farm in Selwyn Township with their children. Now, she is stepping up to be the thoughtful, caring, and practical voice we need to help make life better for our community and build a stronger Canada.

Emma attended Lakefield District Secondary School, graduating in 2003. It is here that her love of sport grew into a passion. Joining Kawartha Lacrosse in 1999, Emma went on to play for Team Canada at the Women’s Field Lacrosse World Cup in 2003, bringing home the bronze medal, as well as Player of the Match three times.

Emma was recognized for her athletic achievements by the City of Peterborough when she received Civic Awards in both 2003 and 2004. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Niagara University, after attending the school on a lacrosse scholarship.

Emma believes the people of Peterborough riding deserve a trusted voice in government, one who will be a champion for the community and who will help build an economy that works for both urban and rural Canadians. She will work hard to ensure that everyone has an opportunity to succeed.

As Canada faces unprecedented threats to its sovereignty and its future, Emma is proud to partner with Prime Minister Mark Carney and the Liberal team. Together, they will put more money in your pocket, ensure the government spends less so Canada can invest more, build the homes we need, and stand strong against unfair trade practices.

It's time to build this country, to benefit everyone.
