Angelo Iacono
Biography
Elected as a Member of Parliament in October 2015, Angelo Iacono has continued to earn the trust of the voters in Alfred-Pellan, who have since re-elected him twice. He is a husband and father who is deeply committed to the community he represents. Angelo is a man who gives selflessly to causes he cares about, and compassion, social commitment and hard work are the values that drive him to fight for the well-being of his constituents.
A lawyer by profession, politician by vocation and humanist by conviction, Angelo Iacono is a determined and passionate leader with extensive experience. He studied political science at McGill University before completing his civil law degree at UQAM. He also holds a law degree from the University of Ottawa. His internationalist outlook later led him to broaden his expertise, earning a certificate in European Community Law from the Faculty of Law of Lyon, in France.
A staunch defender of Canadian values, Angelo Iacono has been involved in politics since he was a teenager. Federal funding in his riding has increased since his election, as has the number of beneficiaries. He works tirelessly to ensure that the people and businesses of Alfred-Pellan fully benefit from federal support, through programs such as Canada Summer Jobs and New Horizons for Seniors.
In this spirit of continuity and dynamism, Angelo Iacono is running in the upcoming general election, reaffirming his commitment to the people of Alfred-Pellan.
Élu député fédéral en octobre 2015, Angelo Iacono a su garder la confiance des électeurs d’Alfred-Pellan qui l’ont depuis réélu à deux reprises. Il est un époux et un père de famille qui s’engage pour la communauté qu’il représente. Pour cet homme qui donne sans compter pour les causes qui lui tiennent à cœur, la compassion, l’engagement social et l'ardeur sont les valeurs qui poussent Angelo à lutter pour le bien-être de sa circonscription.
Avocat de formation, politicien de vocation et humaniste de conviction, Angelo Iacono est un homme déterminé et passionné doté d’une vaste expérience. Formé en sciences politiques à l’Université McGill, Angelo a complété ses études en droit civil à l’UQAM et détient également un diplôme en droit de l’Université d’Ottawa. Son esprit internationaliste le poussera par la suite vers de nouveaux horizons et il obtiendra un certificat de droit européen communautaire de la faculté de droit de Lyon en France.
Fervent défenseur des valeurs canadiennes, Angelo Iacono est engagé politiquement depuis son adolescence. Depuis son élection, le financement fédéral dans sa circonscription a augmenté tout comme le nombre de bénéficiaires. Que ce soit à travers le programme Emplois d’été Canada ou le programme Nouveaux Horizons pour les aînés, Angelo Iacono travaille d’arrache-pied pour que les citoyens et les entreprises d’Alfred-Pellan puissent profiter pleinement du financement fédéral.
C’est donc dans cet esprit de continuité et de dynamisme que Angelo Iacono se porte candidat pour la prochaine élection générale et ainsi réitère son engagement auprès de la population d’Alfred-Pellan.
