Matias has lived, worked, and volunteered in Humber River-Black Creek for 22 years. Matias is running to be our Member of Parliament to fight for a Canada where everyone can get ahead. He knows that after many years of the same Liberal MP, we can't wait any longer for things to get better. In Humber River-Black Creek we need change now.

Matias is committed to fighting for affordable housing, higher pensions for seniors, lowering the price of groceries, and the kind of public health care we can all rely on. Together, we can do better.

Matias is currently the Toronto District School Board Trustee for Humber River-Black Creek. As Trustee, he has upgraded playgrounds at Daystrom, Gulfstream, Firgrove, Gosford, Shoreham, Driftwood, and Lamberton Public Schools and brought better programs like a new art school at Westview Centennial and a new French Immersion program at Gracedale Public School.

At the TDSB, Matias serves on the Finance Committee, where he fights for students to receive the funding they need. During the last budget process, Matias worked closely with students, parents, and community members to ensure that community and student needs were met.

Growing up in a single-parent household and seeing his mom volunteer, study, and work hard to make ends meet as a newcomer instilled in Matias a strong understanding of the barriers families face, and a passion for social justice. For many years Matias has worked to create more equitable opportunities by starting a scholarship program and leading multiple local organizations.

Matias is ready to fight for a better future for the people of Humber River-Black Creek and a more equitable Canada for everyone.
