Chris Moyer is a West Kelowna father, volunteer hockey coach, business leader and longtime Okanagan property owner who brings decades of business, negotiation and leadership experience to his campaign for City Council.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Chris attended Kwantlen University College, where he was elected twice to the student association council. He later spent nearly two decades living and working overseas, building a successful real estate business from the ground up and earning state, national and international recognition for his work.

Chris also served as the elected volunteer vice president of an ice hockey club during a period of serious financial difficulty. Working alongside other board members and volunteers, he helped restructure the organization, strengthen its financial controls and move the club from debt into a profitable position in less than a year.

After returning to Canada with his family, Chris chose West Kelowna as home. He has become involved in the community through minor hockey, coaching local children and helping new skaters build confidence on the ice.

As a father raising two young children in West Kelowna, Chris experiences many of the same issues residents talk about every day — traffic and the bridge, taxes, roads and sidewalks, recreation facilities, public safety and the pressures that come with rapid growth.

Chris believes City Hall exists to serve residents. He is running to bring a fresh perspective, strong work ethic, financial discipline and practical, common-sense decision-making to Council. He doesn’t claim to have every answer, but promises to listen, ask difficult questions, work collaboratively and remain accountable to the people he represents.
