Biography

submitted by the candidate or their team
Lifelong Langford resident, mom and public servant. I know the challenges of making time and money stretch while balancing work, commuting, family and kids’ activities. I love Langford and want to help residents thrive, not just survive.

I’m a lifelong Langford resident, mom and public servant, and I’m proud to call Langford home. I grew up here, and now I’m raising my family here. I love this community and the people who make it what it is, and I want to be part of making sure others have the opportunity to build a good life here too.

I understand the challenges many people face trying to make time and money stretch while balancing work, commuting, family and kids’ sports and activities. I’ve experienced those pressures myself. I know what it’s like to make tough choices, worry about affordability and try to give your family opportunities while keeping up with everyday life.

I bring more than 10 years of experience in the BC Public Service. I’ve worked in the Ministry of Health, Ministers’ offices and John Horgan’s MLA and Premier’s offices. My experience has taught me how government works, how decisions get made and what it takes to bring the right people together to find practical solutions.

I also hold a Leadership Certificate from Royal Roads University, which strengthened my understanding of leadership, collaboration and the importance of listening to different perspectives.

Langford has grown tremendously, and I believe it’s time to be more thoughtful and strategic about what comes next. We need to make sure the infrastructure, services and staffing are in place to support the community we have today. That means addressing the needs residents see every day, being responsible with taxpayers’ money and getting the fundamentals right.

I’m running because I want residents to feel heard and represented and because I believe we can make practical decisions that improve everyday life for the people who already call Langford home.

I don’t believe one person has all the answers. I believe good leadership means listening, asking questions, being willing to learn, working with others and being accountable for the decisions you make.
